ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Four people were arrested Monday after police found drugs, guns and stolen property at a residence in northeast Albuquerque.
According to the Albuquerque Police Department, officers were patrolling in the area of 11720 Rosemont NE Monday afternoon. There detectives located a stolen Harley Davidson motorcycle with stolen plates. As officers were setting up a perimeter around the area, Joel Gonzalez and Destiny Watkins were trying to leave with the motorcycle.
At that time officers approached Gonzalez and Watkins. Gonzalez tried to pull a gun from his waistband but it got caught in his shirt and and he fled the scene. Detectives cornered him and he was taken into custody.
APD says officers spoke with Gonzalez and Watkins and learned there were more people inside the residence. Officers then searched the residence and found guns, drugs and more stolen property.
Gonzalez, was arrested on the charges of Aggravated Assault on a Peace Officer, Receiving and Transferring a Stolen Motor Vehicle and two outstanding felony warrants.
Anthony Montano, was arrested on the charges of Unlawful Carrying of a Deadly Weapon and Unlawful Possession of a Deadly Weapon.
Watkins and Mark Whitaker were both arrested for outstanding felony warrants for probation violation and receiving stolen property.
