ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – One of the youngest teens charged in the murder of an Albuquerque bartender is out of jail. A judge is allowing 14-year-old Enrique Palomino to be transferred to Sequoyah Adolescent Treatment Center, a psychiatric hospital that treats violent children.

Police say Palomino was with a group of teenagers who shot and killed Stephen Gerecke in his driveway, during a night of mobbing. The victim’s family is not happy with the judge’s decision. Once Palomino finishes his treatment the judge says he’ll head back to lock up.
