ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – The man police say caused a DWI crash over the weekend is out of jail Tuesday night.

Jonathan Cortez posted bond Monday morning and was released from MDC.

Police say he was driving drunk Sunday night when he rear-ended a car, causing it to roll several times. Police say Cortez failed a field sobriety test.

The two people in the car are okay.

He’s charged with aggravated DWI and driving on a revoked license from a prior DWI arrest. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
