Balloon Fiesta announces Film Fest winners

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta announced the winners of its 2015 Film Fest. The annual contest is open to film students at New Mexico colleges and universities to showcase different aspects of Balloon Fiesta.

2015 Film Fest winning teams:

  • 1st Place: Janett Solis and team from Santa Fe University of Art and Design
  • 2nd Place: Jose Rodriquez and team from the University of New Mexico
  • 3rd Place: Alex Rennie and team from Santa Fe University of Art and Design

Twelve teams participated in the event from schools throughout New Mexico. Participating schools included Luna Community College, Media Arts Collaborative Charter School, Santa Fe Community College, Santa Fe University of Art and Design and The University of New Mexico.

The first place film will be featured on Comcast’s Video On Demand feature.

All of the winning films will be featured on Balloon Fiesta main stage on Saturday as well.
