Albuquerque police seek stolen balloon equipment owner

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Investigators are trying to return equipment they have found and they think the owner may be associated with the International Balloon Fiesta.

On September 29, Albuquerque Police Department officials found a stolen trailer filled with artwork, two large propane tanks and burners used to lift a hot air balloon.

Police have found the owner of the artwork but are still looking for the balloon equipment owner. Police say there are serial numbers for confirmation and identification.

Investigators do not know when the equipment was taken nor where.  There are not yet any suspects in this case.

APD says to contact them at (505) 242-COPS with any information.
