Wind, storms and cooler temperatures continue to impact most of New Mexico. The first of two storm systems continues to move through the region and the storms continue in the eastern half of the state tonight. The big story for Balloon Fiesta tonight won’t be the rain, but the wind! Winds could cancel the twilight twinkle glow this evening, but the rain will stay away for tonight. Another storm system will start to roll in on Sunday. This will trigger more scattered storms for much of New Mexico by Sunday night and the beginning of the week. So wind and rain could be an issue over the next few days at Balloon Fiesta. By Thursday, drier air should work in and bring a quieter, nicer weekend next week for the final days of Fiesta.
