John’s Tuesday Evening Forecast

The warmth continues...

The northeast will have another shot at a spot shower or two Wednesday afternoon with some lingering moisture from the cold front. The rest of the state continues with mostly sunny and warm conditions. The near record warmth sticks around through Friday, then the changes arrive to New Mexico.

A storm system will pass north of New Mexico late Friday through the weekend. Most of the showers will work through Colorado while New Mexico stays mainly dry with increased winds. This will be something to watch closely for the opening weekend of Balloon Fiesta. Temperatures will also start to drop. After being near 90° Thursday, Albuquerque will cool to the mid 70s by early next week.

Another storm will move through New Mexico Monday allowing for showers to develop across the state. That storm exits late Monday, allowing for more sunshine and less wind for the middle part of the week with temperatures remaining more seasonable.
