Albuquerque man honored with street name

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – A busy west side street has been renamed to honor a former Albuquerque educator.

On Tuesday, city officials changed Ouray road to Bob McCannon Parkway. Robert “Bob” McCannon was a retired teacher and coach at the Albuquerque Academy.

He founded the New Mexico Media Literacy Project and advocated for residents on the west side.
