ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Albuquerque Police are warning of a new online scam.

Police say people are setting up ghost accounts on Facebook using the real names and pictures of your friends. Police say the scam is working so well because people have no idea it’s a fake account and approve the friend request.

After the scammers make contact they then tell you how to get money from the World Trade Bank by paying a fee.
