UNM basketball receives verbal commitment from former Lobo’s son

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE)-¬†Breaking news came from the LoboLair as the University of New Mexico’s basketball team received a verbal commitment from Damien Jefferson on Saturday.

Damien is the son of former Lobo basketball player, Everett Jefferson, who played for the Lobos from 1979 to1980.

Damien is a senior in high school in East Chicago, Indiana. The top 150 recruit is 6-foot, 5-inches tall and 180 pounds. He plays small forward and should be a good fit into this Lobo program.

Student athletes cannot sign their national letters of intent until November.
