A cold front will plow into eastern New Mexico on Friday. This front will cool temps between 5°-15° across the east. The front will also bring in some additional moisture and lead to storms along the central mountain chain. Here in the metro we will feel gusty east winds develop Friday afternoon. The winds will top out around 30 mph. A scattered shower is also possible in the city.
Over the weekend the state will dry out a bit. Look for isolated storms but most areas should stay dry. More southerly moisture returns to the state by the beginning of next week.
