La Cueva cheerleaders fundraise for school appropriate uniforms

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – The La Cueva High School cheerleaders want to buy new uniforms to wear to school.

News 13 reported last Friday that administrators told the team their uniforms were too skimpy and violated the dress code. Three cheerleaders were sent to detention until someone could bring them a change of clothes.

The girls are now raising money to buy new uniforms with a longer skirt that they can wear to school. They’ve set up a Go Fund Me account and they need to raise more than $4,000.
