Chris’ Thursday Afternoon Forecast

Drier air is working into parts of New Mexico with chances for a few storms popping up in the southwest later today.   A cold front rolls in on Friday and that is when we will see more storms firing around the central mountain chain into the Eastern Plains tomorrow.   Albuquerque’s main impact from the front will be the canyon winds out of the east by tomorrow afternoon.   Storm chances for central and western New Mexico won’t see much in the way of rain in the coming days. After the front moves through the east tomorrow, spot storms will be limited to the mountains over the weekend.   By Monday, we could see a system draw in moisture from the south for central and western New Mexico.
