ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – A scientific balloon was in Albuquerque’s sky on Tuesday morning.

It’s the second of four balloons NASA has launched from Fort Sumner. They are carrying experiments built by college students across the U.S.

The balloon seen on Tuesday flew for 26.5 hours before it was recovered near Fort Sumner.

Another balloon could be launched next weekend. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
