Albuquerque Police Department investigates ‘mobbing’ teens

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – The Albuquerque Police Department is looking for a group of teens out “mobbing” and trying to break into cars in northeast Albuquerque.

Mobbing is a new trend where teens go through neighborhoods breaking into vehicles.

Surveillance photos captured one suspect from August 30. Police say he’s among a group spotted in the Tramway and Montgomery area and the Montgomery and Glenwood Hills neighborhood.

APD says one vehicle they tried to break into was an unmarked police car.

Police say to call Crime Stoppers with any information.
