Lockdown lifted at 3 Albuquerque schools

Grades for NM schools have been released for the 2013-2014 school year.

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Three Albuquerque schools were placed on lockdown Tuesday because of police activity in the area.

Albuquerque Public Schools Police Department said Tuesday that Freedom High, New Futures and eCademy were affected.

Police say the lockdown was prompted by an auto burglary suspect who fled from police. According to the Albuquerque Police Department items belonging to one of the victims was found on the New Futures campus.

APD says the suspect used the footbridge and fled across I-40.
