24 Hours of Art celebrates Albuquerque’s creatives

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – 24 Hours of Art is a grassroots arts festival coordinated by Humbird NM, Immastar Productions, and Tractor Brewing Co. The three groups behind this spectacle of a celebration are dedicated to propagating the audience for Albuquerque’s amazing company of artists, makers, and altogether creatives.

Schedule of Events

September 18, 6 p.m.until 2 a.m. | Opening Ceremonies | Tractor – Wells Park

This is also their theater and film night—featuring Tricklock’s Reptilian Lounge, local film Abe Makes a Movie, live music, DJs and live poetry—will be hosted by the troubadours Damien Flores and Carlos Contreras.

September 19, 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. | Pyragraph Presents: 24HoA Colloquium | 5G Gallery

Multiple experts from unique creative backgrounds will be brought in to talk about self-promotion on an individual level as well as working with the audience to create a list of goals and criteria aimed at boosting Albuquerque’s creative economy.

September 19, 3 p.m. until 10 p.m. | Main Event | Civic Plaza

Live music acts; a 1600 square-foot art gallery by Pop-Up Collective; community art projects; a beer garden by Tractor Brewery; and a wide variety of food selections.

September 20, 10 a.m.until 3 p.m. | ABQ CiQlovía Joins | Civic Plaza

Taking advantage of their open-street format, 24 Hours of Art’s Civic Plaza Programming will bookend the route, allowing a resting space for the pedestrians to listen to music and participate in the ongoing community art projects and view the creative spectacle.
