Chris’ Friday Afternoon Forecast

Moisture is being drawn in from the eastern Pacific and this bring the chance for scattered storms today.   Central and western New Mexico will have the best shot to see the rain today with drier air over the eastern half the state.   That is where sunshine will heat things back up into the 90s for places like Roswell and Carlsbad.   Rain chances will continue along the central mountain chain and to the west for Saturday.   By Sunday, drier air starts to work in from the north and west.   This will limit shower chances to the higher terrain and the southwest for Sunday and Labor Day.   So if you have outdoor plans for the holiday day weekend, it looks like the back half of the weekend will be much nicer than the start of it.
