Chris’ Thursday Afternoon Forecast

Tropical moisture from tropical storm Kevin is going to be drawn into New Mexico over the next few days.   This will bring the chance for scattered storms beginning this afternoon and into the first half of the holiday weekend.   Central and western New Mexico will have the best shot for storms in the coming days with drier conditions across the east.  Western New Mexico could be plagued with periods of heavy rain causing flash flooding concerns especially on Friday.   The added moisture and clouds will keep temperatures down.   Temperatures will be  by 5-10° on Friday with the added moisture in central and western New Mexico.   Saturday will also include the chance for scattered storms before drier air starts to work in on Sunday,
