Durango study aims to document number of bicyclists, pedestrians

DURANGO, Co. (KRQE) – An interesting study is underway in Durango and the city needs help putting it together.

The goal is to document the number of bicyclists and pedestrians in the city. Officials say the study will help determine the need for things like sidewalks, bicycle facilities and bike lanes or crossings.

The city is asking for volunteers to help with the counts at 77 different spots around town between September 22 and 24 through September 26.
