Two suspects arrested in Hobbs storage unit thefts

HOBBS, N.M. (KRQE) – Police in Hobbs have arrested two men who were allegedly breaking into storage units there.

Surveillance video showed the suspects circling around the complex looking for things to steal. Police say they stole about $7,500 worth of items.

On Tuesday police got a tip of another burglary and tracked down 24-year-old Gerald Gill and 38-year-old Margarito “Mickey” Garcia.

A search of their homes turned up all of the stolen items.

Along with burglary and other charges Garcia is facing a gun charge. He is a convicted felon.
