Mark’s Thursday Night Weather Report

Expect the active weather to continue over the next several days with various forms of moisture reaching New Mexico. Tonight some showers and storms will linger as a weather disturbance continues to track through Colorado. As that disturbance exits, a back door cold front will drop into the east for Friday. Storms will focus along the leading edge of the front and the central mountain chain. Behind the front cooler, more stable air takes over across the northeast.

The front will continue to track across the state Friday night, allowing for breezy conditions with a modest canyon wind in the metro. The front continues to push to the Arizona state line allowing for showers and storms to fire across central and western New Mexico Saturday.

High pressure slides back to the east for Sunday and early next week, keeping at least a few showers and storms in the forecast through the first half of next week.
