ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – She’s an Albuquerque Public Schools principal, mother, advocate for New Mexico children food programs, and now she’s adding one more role to that list.
Annittra Atler has just returned from Las Vegas, Nevada after winning a national title, Ms. Woman United States.
The new title holder joined KRQE’s This Morning team to discuss her passion for children and why she does what she does.
With a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education and a current elementary school principle, Atler’s love for children has found her working with low income families by starting a school backpack program.
This program is designed to help children receive nutritious and easily prepared food they will need when they go home on the weekends.
With her new title, Atler is able to raise awareness on this topic and seek community support for the backpack program. This program is ran entirely by grants and donations.
