Special events planned for Taos church’s 200th birthday

TAOS, N.M. (KRQE) – A Taos church turns 200 years old this year, and community members are making it special.

Those who admire the San Francisco de Asís Church are celebrating its bicentennial with a series of events. Starting tomorrow morning there will be a historic photo exhibit on display. Expect to see photos by famous photographers, such as Ansel Adams, as well as pictures submitted by the town of Taos.
Sunday there will be a lecture on the church’s history.
