Kristen’s Friday Morning Forecast

Rain chances looking better by late weekend

FRIDAY: Another toasty afternoon with high temperatures soaring well in the 70s, 80s and 90s across the state (even a few triple digits likely to break out over the far Southeastern Plains). Spotty storms are possible over the higher terrain – favorable for mountain areas south of Interstate-40.

SATURDAY: A touch more moisture streaming in from the south will allow for another round of spotty storms for southern and western NM. Afternoon temps will be slightly cooler than what is expected Friday – plan on 70s, 80s and 90s across the northern 2/3rds of the state while the far southern tier is likely to hit the upper 90s and low triple digits.
