Police arrest ‘mobbing’ group

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Albuquerque police have broken up another group going around town “mobbing”.

Joshua Smith, Jacob Thompson, Robert Rivera and Joanne Ogilvie are all accused of targeting houses with garage doors open According to the criminal complaint they stole anything they could get their hands on and even took a couple of vehicles.

The term “mobbing” really came to light back in June when a group of teens targeted homes in the Northeast Heights and shot and killed bartender Steven Gerecke.

It’s not believed these cases are related.
