ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – The First Annual Albuquerque Golf Charity Invitational is coming up, and they’re still needing teams to sign up. Proceeds will go to the New Mexico Roadrunner Food Bank and New Mexico Restaurant Association. The Restaurants Association will use it for their scholarship fund, while the Food Bank will allocate their proceeds towards efforts in alleviating hunger statewide. This is the first year that National Distributing Co. has hosted the tournament. The format is a shotgun start and is $250 per player. The tournament starts at noon on Monday, August 24th at the Albuquerque Country Club. Food and drink will be provided. A silent auction will also take place.
