RIO RANCHO, N.M. (KRQE) – A 10-year investigation by federal officials on Intel’s emissions has reached a conclusion.
The feds found Intel isn’t releasing harmful emissions. A sister agency of the Center for Disease Control published the results last Thursday.
The investigation began in 2005 after the agency received a petition from a community group to determine if Intel’s air emissions posed any public health threat.
The report states the plant’s emissions fall within the EPA’s guidelines.
The feds have planned a meeting next month to go over the results with the public.
