ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – The New Mexico green chile battle may have been a bit too hot for Whole Foods.

It’s now saying it’ll offer Hatch Green Chile in all of its stores. Whole Foods previously announced it was dropping the Hatch brand in favor of Colorado Pueblo Chile in some of its Rocky Mountain stores.

A regional produce manager told the Denver Post on Friday that Pueblo Chile is overlooked and they are doing a better job of branding itself.

In a statement Monday, Whole Foods said its majority of chile supply will remain Hatch and it wants to support both Hatch and Pueblo chiles.
