UV Splash Color Dash to light up the night

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – It’s a run, walk, or even crawl benefiting the PB&J Family Services that will have you glowing.

The UV Splash Color Dash is being held at the Albuquerque Balloon Museum and is this year’s brightest night event.

The 5K is a family friendly event where participants will run or walk around the Balloon Fiesta Park while “splashers” throw non-toxic, food grade cornstarch and coloring on Friday, August 14.

At each kilometer, blue green, yellow, orange, and pink UV water will splashed on participants.

Once the sun sets and the black lights are turned on the UV color will activate and brighten up the night.

Benefits of the dash help to benefit the PB&J Family Services who help at-risk children and their family to grow and develop to their full potential.

Register at 6:30 and the race starts at 8:30. Make sure to arrive to the park early to join the dance competitions, hula-hoop contests, and giveaways.

You must have a ticket for entry.
