Road work to begin on westbound Montgomery

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Drivers beware, a busy area is about to get more congested.

Two of the three westbound lanes on Montgomery Boulevard between Wyoming and Pennsylvania will be closed for the next several days. Crews are repairing a 56-year-old water transmission line. However, it is not expected to affect water services in the area.

Officials say commuters will see backups, especially in the morning. Drivers and pedestrians are asked to seek alternate routes.
