ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Another woman has been groped on a college campus in Albuquerque this time at the University of New Mexico by a man who was praying with a student out in the open. It happened outside the UNM Bookstore.

Police say the student was just trying to help when she got an unwelcome surprise. The student was approached by a distraught 50 to 60 year old Hispanic man. She then went to comfort him and gave him food and prayed with him. That’s when police say he grabbed her breasts.

The student then went back to her dorm and called police.

Police say the man is Hispanic with short black hair and mustache stubble. He was wearing jeans, a red UNM hat and a red U.S. Marines shirt. He also has scratches on both arms.

Police are reminding students as school starts to always be aware of their surroundings and contact them immediately and don’t wait when something like this happens.

This is the third groping at an Albuquerque college campus in less than two weeks. On the 30th of July a man grabbed a woman’s butt in a parking lot near Johnson Field. The suspect is about five-foot-three with slick black hair and gauged ears, he was carrying a skateboard

Last week a woman in a CNM parking lot had her breast grabbed by a man riding by on a razor scooter. That suspect also had dark hair and was in his 20s.
