ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Firefighters from Bernalillo County and the Albuquerque Fire Department are heading to California to help fight massive wildfires.

Bernalillo County Fire Department says one wild land truck left early Tuesday morning. No word is given on how long they’ll be there.

Fire crews have made some progress against a stubborn fire burning in northern California that has consumed more than 101 square miles.

Some 10,000 firefighters from across the country are working 24-hour shifts to fight the blaze.
