City uses ‘blue, furry character’ to teach children monsoon season safety

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – A new character was created by the city to teach kids about water safety during the summer. It will remind children to stay away from arroyos and ditches during monsoon season.

The blue, furry character has not been named yet and the city is asking for ideas.

The person who comes up with the best name will receive a $200 gift card.
