New Mexico woman’s story picked up by ‘Chicken Soup for the Soul’

GRANT COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) – A Grant County nurse has a great story to tell and it’s being picked up by “Chicken Soup for the Soul.”

Donna Mason’s “Three Elephants” is one of the 101 stories in the newly released book “Chicken Soup for the Soul: Inspiration for Nurses.”

Mason who has been living in New Mexico since 1977, doesn’t want to give the plot away, but does say it has to do with the strong bond nurses can make with their terminally ill patients.

Mason says it was her daughter who pushed her to submit the story.
