Man arrested in Kirtland SWAT situation

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – A San Juan County man is in jail right following a SWAT situation in Kirtland.

Deputies say James Guy hit a woman on the top of the head then pointed a gun at her during an argument at the home on the 100 block of County Road 6333.

Deputies say they arrived at the home at around 5:30 p.m. and guy refused to come out.

They along with the Farmington police SWAT team were able to enter the home after four hours.

Authorities say the suspect surrendered and is now being held at the San Juan County Detention Center on $20,000 bond.
