Jackalope to be auctioned

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – A popular site for locals and tourists is being sold to the highest bidder.

According to the Santa Fe New Mexican, Jackalope will be auctioned off next month. The Mexican-style Mercado on Cerrillos Road is known for its folk art and rustic furniture from around the world.

The owner founded the business in 1979, but fell into financial trouble. The August 26 sale will help him pay back loans.
