ROSWELL, N.M. (KRQE) – Last week, a Savannah cat worth $8,000 vanished from a Roswell home after a burglary.
Tritan’s owner, six-year-old Hillary was devastated.
She and her mom weren’t sure if Tritan was taken or slipped out during the break in, but Friday they found the answer.
The cat was found hiding in a hole in the back of a building. Someone saw the story from the previous week and posted the sighting on Facebook. Animal control then stepped in to help lure him out.
Hillary and her mom say Tritan was a little scared and had lost some weight, but was okay otherwise.
“I couldn’t sleep because I always sleep good with him, but now that he was gone I couldn’t go to sleep because I kept on dreaming about him,” said Hilary.
They say the building where he was found wasn’t far from their house so they believe he snuck out during the robbery.
