Lobo Basketball Freshman could make an early contribution

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – University of New Mexico Basketball Coach Craig Neal has brought in freshmen who can make shots. The lack of made shots is something that contributed to the Lobos struggles last season. Jordan Hunter is a 5’11” point guard from Ozen High School in Beaumont, Texas.

He was named one of the top prospects in the Houston metro area last year. Anthony Mathis is a 6’3″ guard from West Linn, Oregon. He lead his high school to back to back to back titles in Class 6A. Dane Kupier is a 6’7 guard who has the nickname Alaskan Air.

In talking about Kupier head coach Craig Neal said, “he can do it all. He can rebound he can guard, he ca shoot it, good athlete, so he does a little bit of everything. I think he will bring that to the table which we are going to need.”
