Bernalillo County offers space for families to spend time together

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Looking for that perfect Sunday-funday with your family?

Twenty-seven acres of fertile valley farm land were purchased in 1999 by the City of Albuquerque Open Space Division and now families can enjoy the space every Sunday.

Sunday’s have been dedicated to offer families in the Albuquerque community to experience the open space. Guests are encouraged to pack a lunch and enjoy a picnic and take a hike to enjoy the trails. They also offer hands-on learning opportunities fun for everyone.

Family day begins each Sunday at 9 a.m. and lasts until 4 p.m.

Bernalillo County’s Bachechi Open Space is located at 9521 Rio Grande NW.
