Citizen Guards

FARMINGTON, N.M. (KRQE) – Some citizens are making sure service members at a Farmington recruiting center are safe.

A group of five armed men are standing guard. The men say last week’s deadly shooting in Tennessee could happen anywhere.

The men have drawn both positive and negative attention.

Farmington Police say they have received calls about the men but they are not breaking any laws.

The men say they are there to “protect those who protect us.” provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
