Stabbing suspect arrested after SWAT standoff

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Police say they have arrested 35-year-old Dolores Chavez after a SWAT standoff.

Around 1 p.m. Sunday, police say Chavez stabbed a female four times to the area of 500 Alcazar.

SWAT officers were called out after Chavez barricaded herself in her apartment.

Officers were able to get Chavez out of the apartment and she is charged with aggravated battery.

The victim was transported to a local hospital where she was treated for her injuries.
