Isotopes win in walk-off fashion

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE)- The Isotopes haven’t started the second half of their season that well. They opened with two losses to the Las Vegas 51’s, but on Saturday night the Topes got the 5-4 victory.

The score was tied at 4 with 1 out in the bottom of the ninth inning, and Tim Smalling would ground into a routine out, but it would be enough to score the runner from third for the victory.

It was a big win for the Isotopes, and rising star Trevor Story believes that the wins will just keep coming.

“We have a great group of guys and that’s something we can definitely do with this team. We have a lot of talent on this team and I see a lot of wins coming our way in the second half,” said Trevor Story.
