Police: Man killed in Artesia was NMSU student

LAS CRUCES, N.M. (KRQE) – A man killed this weekend in Artesia was a student at New Mexico State University.

Police say 27-year-old Andres Rojo was shot in the chest early Sunday morning. A spokesman for NMSU told the Sun News, Rojo was close to earning his degree.

A second gunshot victim, who has not been identified, is in stable condition.

Detectives believe one person is responsible for the double shooting. No arrests have been made.
