Presbyterian grower’s market opens for first day

Presbyterian Growers Market

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Presbyterian’s annual growers market kicked off this morning.

The market is set up across from the downtown hospital.

Growers say the market is one of the easiest ways to get fresh produce and homemade products in the city.

“You can meet whoever sells it to you, and talk to them and ask them questions. There’s no doubt about the product, and usually we let you eat it first,” said market president Ken Hays.

Some of the vendors say they take SNAP benefits.

The market runs every Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. until the end of October.
