Pork and Brew offers fun for the whole family

RIO RANCHO, N.M. (KRQE) – Fourth of July weekend will offer more than just fireworks with the event coming to Rio Rancho.

Fifty barbeque teams and the Galloping Grace Youth Ranch (GGYR) join together for the Pork and Brew State Championship happening Fourth of July Weekend at the Santa Ana Star Center.

This event is full of activities that include barbeque vendors, cooking competitions, live music and the GGYR Petting Zoo and Pig Races.

Max Wade, GGYR’s CEO, and Savannah DeLillo, GGYR volunteer, are hoping to raise awareness for their petting zoo at this years Pork and Brew event. GGYR joined the KRQE This Morning team and brought a few of the adorable miniature animals, goats and pigs, that will be in attendance to the event.

Join GGYR Friday, July 3 and Saturday, July 4 from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. or Sunday, July 5 from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m.

General admission is $6, seniors and kids ages 4 to 12, $4, kids 3 and under are free.
