Downtown Albuquerque synthetic ice rink makes reappearance

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Civic Plaza has cooled down with a summer ice skating rink. Crews were busy installing the new downtown attraction Tuesday. It opens Thursday and runs through July 12.

The City installed a mini rink during Christmas. Because of its popularity, the city decided to buy a bigger and better one.

Ice skating is free, but rentals are $3.
