The James Beard Foundation on Tuesday announced that its awards ceremony honoring the best chefs and restaurants is moving to Chicago after 24 years in New York City. It's more proof that Chicago is home to one of the country's hottest restaurant scenes. But who's got the better eats? (AP Photo/Frank Franklin II)

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – A new survey is out on the top 10 toppings when it comes to hot dogs. According to JJ’s Red Hots, mustard still rules and surprisingly ketchup didn’t make the cut.

There are some surprises on the list, take a look:

  1. Mustard
  2. Onions
  3. Chili
  4. Slaw
  5. Pimento cheese
  6. Relish/Pickles
  7. Bacon
  8. Sauerkraut
  9. Salsa
  10. Caramelized onions

According to the national hot dog and sausage council, Americans will consume 150-million hot dogs on Independence Day, enough to stretch from Washington D.C. to Los Angeles more than five times.
