GEORGETOWN, C.O. – A group of hikers were near the top of Mount Bierstadt and some were knocked unconscious after struck by lightning.

The hikers were unconscious for 30 seconds up to five minutes. One of them was able to call for help. They were all able to regain consciousness eventually and walk out on their own.

The rescuers and an army National Guard helicopter helped the eight off the mountain. Three were taken to the hospital and one is in serious condition.
