Water line break causes outage in southwest Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Water customers near Rio Grande High School are experiencing a water outage due to a water line break.

Albuquerque Bernalillo County Water Utility Authority officials say it happened during a routine test and crews are working to repair the break. The water has been shut off to the area between Atrisco and Foothill along Arenal.

There is some street flooding in the area. Drivers are urged to avoid the area and seek an alternative route.

Officials say the water will be off while crews work and may last several hours.
